Baum und Pferdgarten

Baum und Pferdgarten was founded in 1999 in Copenhagen by Rikke Baumgarten and Helle Hestehave, who met while studying at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts and began working together shortly after graduating, initially from a roughly 35-square-meter studio in the Norrebro area of central Copenhagen. The brand's name is a wordplay combining pieces of both founders' surnames. Its flagship store on Vognmagergade in central Copenhagen has been open since February 2010. As of the mid-2020s the label reports distribution through some 400 retail outlets across more than 30 countries, alongside its own e-commerce, and it continues to show at Copenhagen Fashion Week.
