What Brauerei Paffgen is known for
Herman Paffgen started brewing in 1883, and the family firm still hand-brews its Kolsch to the 1516 Purity Law at the Friesenstrasse brauhaus. The taproom, hall and 120-seat beer garden pour the unfiltered beer fresh from the wooden cask, drawn by blue-aproned Kobes waiters.
