Chojuan

Chojuan specializes in ikinari dango, the Kumamoto sweet of sliced sweet potato and sweet bean paste wrapped in a plain steamed dough, sold here in white, black, purple and baked versions. The shop ships nationwide and sponsors the local Roasso Kumamoto football club, a sign of how embedded it is in the city's everyday food culture.
