Coggles traces its origins to 1974, when Victoria Bage opened an independent boutique in York that became one of the UK's best-known independent fashion retailers. Her son Mark Bage took over operations and launched the online store in 2006, expanding the brand's reach beyond its physical footprint. The business fell into administration in 2013, at which point THG plc (The Hut Group) acquired it and shifted focus toward digital retail. In 2024, Frasers Group—the acquisitive retail giant—purchased Coggles from THG, bringing the e-tailer into its portfolio of luxury and designer brands. The company specializes in curated luxury clothing, accessories, and footwear, maintaining its heritage focus on designer editing and premium quality despite changes in ownership.
