What Muller of Yoshiokubo is known for
Women's line launched in 2006 by Tokyo designer Yoshio Kubo, who trained at Philadelphia University and under New York couturier Robert Danes; 'Muller' is an Aragonese word for woman, and dresses anchor each collection.
Muller of Yoshiokubo is the women's line of Tokyo designer Yoshio Kubo, launched in 2006 alongside his menswear-rooted main label 'yoshiokubo.' Kubo studied at Philadelphia University's School of Textile and Science, graduating in 2000, then worked for four years as an assistant designer to New York couturier Robert Danes before returning to Japan in 2004 to start his own label. The name Muller derives from a word used in Aragon, Spain, meaning 'woman' - built around dresses as the core silhouette with jackets, boleros and trousers developed as companion pieces. The line shows at Tokyo Fashion Week.
