What Côte&Ciel is known for
Bag and accessories label founded 2008 in Paris's Marais district, known for architectural, asymmetric backpacks; corporate operations are now listed in New York, with boutiques in Paris and Tokyo.
Cote et Ciel - French for 'coast and sky' - was founded in Paris in 2008 by a design team including Emilie Arnault and Stephan Wembacher, working out of the Marais district. The label's early products, technical cases and sleeves for laptops and devices, were sold in Apple stores worldwide, establishing its reputation for structured, architectural accessory design before it expanded into full bag collections. While its origin and creative identity remain rooted in Paris, its own site currently lists a New York corporate address alongside physical boutiques in Paris and two Tokyo locations, plus Hong Kong pop-ups.
