What Coutellerie Nontronnaise is known for
The Nontron knife style traces to Guillaume Legrand's 1654 workshop in Périgord and is considered France's oldest; the current maker was founded in 1928 and has belonged to the Forge de Laguiole group since the early 1990s. Boxwood handles carry the knife's signature pyrography "fly" motif, burned in by hand.
