What Cruna is known for
This Milanese label focuses on drawstring tailoring in seasonal wools and cottons.
Cruna was founded in Vicenza in 2013 by Alessandro Fasolo and Tommaso Pinotti, who built the label around a single question: whether trousers could be reimagined as a genuinely essential garment, merging tailoring's formal codes with everyday wearability rather than treating trousers as secondary to a jacket. Design and production stay in Italy through a short, in-house-controlled supply chain — fabric selection, prototyping, washing and finishing are handled directly rather than outsourced, allowing continuous refinement of fit and fabric. Every finished garment carries a signature embroidery mark of authenticity, part of a stated philosophy of 'choose less, and choose better' — pieces built to be worn for years rather than seasons. The house is headquartered on Via Vecchia Ferriera in Vicenza, with a second office in Milan, and operates its own retail beyond wholesale: a company store in Vicenza, a flagship built in Como that opened in December 2023, and a seasonal boutique in San Pantaleo, Sardinia. In 2023 Cruna extended beyond its founding menswear trouser line into a Women's collection, applying the same drawstring-waist tailoring logic to new proportions and fabrics. The company remains privately held and comparatively small — LinkedIn lists 11 to 50 employees — consistent with its own emphasis on craftsmanship over scale.
