Chef and TV personality Cyril Lignac sells pastries, chocolates and gourmet gifts through his own Paris shops — La Pâtisserie Cyril Lignac and La Chocolaterie Cyril Lignac — developed with pastry chef Benoît Couvrand.
Cyril Lignac built his name on French television before extending it into pastry and chocolate retail. Trained in hotel management and pastry near his native Rodez, he worked at L'Arpège in Paris and Jardin des Sens in Montpellier, and picked up further pastry experience alongside Pierre Hermé and Alain Ducasse, before opening his own Michelin-starred restaurant, Le Quinzième, in 2005 — the same year the M6 series “Oui Chef!” turned him into a national media figure. He went on to judge Top Chef for five seasons and has hosted “Le Meilleur Pâtissier” since 2012, plus the lockdown-era cooking show “Tous en Cuisine.”
The retail side of the business runs in partnership with pastry chef Benoît Couvrand: La Pâtisserie Cyril Lignac, launched in 2011 and now with several Paris locations plus Saint-Tropez, and La Chocolaterie Cyril Lignac, opened in 2016 in the 11th arrondissement and built entirely around cacao — bars, pralines and chocolate-based treats from morning through afternoon. Alongside the shops, Lignac runs a group of Paris bistros and restaurants and has published more than 40 cookbooks. For a shopper, the appeal is buying from a working chef's own counter rather than a licensed name — Couvrand is in the kitchen, not just on the packaging.
