Dark Moon Coffee Roasters describes itself as "local born & raised," a family-owned business now seven years into operating its Eastern Avenue shop in Henderson. The scale is no longer small-batch in the literal sense: the roastery put through 85,120 pounds of coffee in 2024 alone, on site at the Henderson location, feeding both its own counter and outside retail -- the beans are stocked at all four local Whole Foods stores and thirteen Sprouts Farmers Market locations in the area. The current single-origin and rotating cold-brew lineup includes Ethiopia Guji Kayon Mountain Honey, Costa Rica Las Lajas Double Diamond Natural, and Colombia Tolima Vergel Estate Anaerobic Natural, alongside the house Nova Blend, showing a roaster working across natural, honey and anaerobic processing methods rather than sticking to one profile. The recognition has followed the volume: Food & Wine named Dark Moon the Best Coffee Shop in Nevada in 2022, and it has picked up four separate Best of Las Vegas wins for Best Coffee Shop or Roaster, backed by more than 1,180 combined five-star reviews on Google and Yelp. Open seven days a week from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., it has grown from a single Henderson shop into a regional wholesale supplier without losing its family-run framing.
