David Zwirner was founded in 1993 on Greene Street in New York's SoHo. It expanded to Chelsea in 2002, opened its first international location in London's Mayfair in 2012, and has since added galleries in Hong Kong (2018), Los Angeles, and New York project spaces. Its Paris gallery opened on October 16, 2019, at 108 rue Vieille du Temple in the Marais - the gallery's first outpost in continental Europe. The gallery represents more than seventy artists and estates globally, including figures such as Gerhard Richter, Yoshitomo Nara, and Njideka Akunyili Crosby.
