What Doria 1905 is known for
Italian hat maker founded 1905 in Salento, Apulia (Maglie, Lecce province) by the D'Oria family; handmade fedoras, panamas and flat caps in the Salento tailoring tradition, still made in Italy.
Doria 1905 traces to a small tailoring workshop run by the D'Oria family in Maglie, in the Lecce province of Apulia's Salento peninsula, in the early 20th century. The workshop formalized as Sabino D'Oria and Figli in 1937, initially producing children's clothing before specializing in hats. The brand marked its 110th anniversary in 2015. Today Doria 1905 makes handcrafted headwear - panama hats, fedoras, wide-brimmed and waterproof styles, baseball caps, bucket hats, and traditional Salento coppole - using panama straw, linen and leather, all made in Italy.
