Haglöfs traces back to 1914 when Wiktor Haglöf, a carpenter, decided to design a backpack capable of withstanding Sweden's demanding landscape. He built his first prototype in a wooden cabin on his family farm in Torsång and sewed designs by hand in his barn before selling them farm-to-farm by bicycle.
