Hatico Mode GmbH was founded in 1947 in Tirschenreuth, Bavaria, by Hans Tischler and his son-in-law Hans Reiter, both expelled from the Sudetenland after the Second World War; the company began as an underwear factory before moving into shirts. It has remained family-owned through three generations, currently led by Joseph Reiter, and still manufactures in Tirschenreuth. The company runs three main shirt lines: Hatico Sport for casual wear, Hatico Essentials for non-iron business shirts, and Pure, a more technical collection launched in 1996.
