What Des Petits Hauts is known for

Started in 2000 by sisters Katia and Vanessa Sanchez, who opened a workshop-boutique at 5 rue Keller in Paris selling soft printed knitwear; Vanessa now leads the label after Katia's 2019 retirement, with 2025 environmental impact scores per garment.

Des Petits Hauts was founded in 2000 by sisters Katia and Vanessa Sanchez, who set out to make soft, easy-to-wear tops carrying original prints -- the literal "little tops" the brand takes its name from. From the start, the sisters opened a combined workshop and boutique at 5 rue Keller in Paris, in the 11th arrondissement, where the earliest pieces were designed and sold. What began as a small line of knitwear grew over two decades into a wider fashion house recognized for pastel-toned knitwear, delicate prints and playful accessories, built around a distinctly Parisian, feminine aesthetic. Katia Sanchez stepped back from the company in 2019, leaving Vanessa Sanchez to continue as the label's creative lead and to preserve its founding identity of poetic prints, soft textures and joyful color palettes. The brand has more recently moved toward publishing sustainability data alongside its collections: in 2025, Des Petits Hauts became one of the first French fashion brands to publish environmental impact scores for individual garments, working with the impact-measurement company Fairly Made, alongside its continued emphasis on natural fibers.
