Kiton

📍 Via San Pasquale a Chiaia 83, Naples

What Kiton is known for

The summit of Neapolitan tailoring — fully hand-sewn suits from its Arzano ateliers, bespoke and beyond. On 30 April 2026 the Arzano industrial street that has hosted Kiton's headquarters since 1991 was renamed Viale Ciro Paone (ex Viale delle Industrie).

Ciro Paone, a fifth-generation Neapolitan fabric merchant, founded Kiton in Arzano in 1968 on a maximalist bet: 'the best of the best plus one' — that a market existed for tailoring with no cost ceiling whatsoever. The factory he built employs hundreds of tailors producing a deliberately limited number of suits, each consuming many hours of handwork in the soft Neapolitan style: floating canvas, shirt shoulders, buttonholes sewn by hand. Kiton buys extraordinary fibers — rare wools and cashmeres, some in vintages like wine — and runs its own tailoring school in Arzano to guarantee the next generation of hands. The house remains family-owned. The suits and sport coats are the summit; the sportswear line carries the fabric obsession into casual clothing. For those who ask what the ceiling of ready-to-wear tailoring looks like, Kiton is the empirical answer.

Handle the fabrics before anything else — the house's rare-fiber cloths explain the prices more persuasively than any salesperson can.
