What La Fromagerie (Leysin) is known for
La Fromagerie has operated as a museum-restaurant in Leysin since 1992, making its own "Le Leysin" cheese on site and working it into fondue, raclette and croûte au fromage rather than selling it as a packaged retail product. The upstairs rooms display alpine woodworking tools and household machines alongside the cheese-making, pairing the dairy work with a record of mountain village life.
