Le Formier

Paris / Online

What Le Formier is known for

French shoe brand launched late 2020 by Groupe Cleon, a family shoemaker founded in 1945 by Rene Cleon in La Romagne, Anjou (Maine-et-Loire) - not Normandy. Goodyear and cemented men's shoes made in the group's own Anjou factory.

Le Formier is the newest brand from Groupe Cleon, a French footwear manufacturer with nearly 80 years of history in the Mauges area of Anjou, one of France's historic shoemaking regions. The group was founded in 1945 by Rene Cleon, a cobbler-bootmaker, in the town of La Romagne, where the company's manufacturing facility still stands today. Le Formier launched at the end of 2020, its name a direct reference to the 'formier' - the craftsperson who shapes the wooden shoe last. All Le Formier shoes are made in France at the Cleon manufacturing facility in La Romagne, sitting alongside the group's other menswear shoe brands, Kost, Kleman, Redskins and Christophe Auguin.
