MadeHere PDX

Portland

What MadeHere PDX is known for

Pearl District shop opened November 2014 by four local partners, stocking only goods made by Portland-area makers-apparel, food, jewelry, home goods-selected by a rotating buying panel.

MadeHere PDX opened in November 2014 in Portland's Pearl District, in a storefront that once housed a Powell's Books technical annex, directly across the street from the main Powell's store. It was founded by four partners-John Connor, Paul Herring, Chris Elkins, and Bob Davis-who brought backgrounds in retail and hospitality to a single rule for what goes on the shelves: the maker has to actually make the item themselves, in the Portland area. The shop grew from that single Pearl District location: an East Side outpost opened on Mississippi Street in 2017, and MadeHere Home followed in June 2018 as the brand's first store dedicated solely to furniture and home decor.
