Martinelli is a Spanish footwear brand founded in 1973 in Elche, one of Spain's principal shoemaking centers, by the Martinez Ibanez family, under the slogan 'un lujo razonable.' It built a following on the strength of value-priced quality dress shoes. In 2007 the company was acquired by the Pikolinos Group, which now manufactures Martinelli shoes at a roughly 5,000-square-metre factory in Elche with a stated annual capacity of about 400,000 pairs.
