What Mise au Green is known for

Alsatian ready-to-wear house founded 1986 in Strasbourg by brothers Bruno and Patrick Moock, launched with nature-themed embroidered shirts made by Alsatian embroiderers and known for its three-cow logo. Expanded into men's sportswear in 1992, then women's and children's lines in the 2000s.

Mise au Green began in Strasbourg in 1986, founded by brothers Bruno and Patrick Moock. Their first collection was a line of embroidered shirts on nature and animal themes; within an hour of presenting it, Harrods in London, Bloomingdale's in New York and Hemispheres in Paris had all placed orders. The brand's signature logo, three cows walking in a line, references the founders' grandfather, a cattle merchant. In 1992 the company pivoted toward a men's sportswear line, and through the 2000s it added women's and children's collections. Despite the golf-adjacent name, it is not a golf-apparel brand.
