What Murata Kamaboko is known for
Murata has made fish cake in Hagi since 1961 using the yaki-nuki baking-through method that draws on the port's Sea of Japan catch. Its lineup includes the conger-eel Murashiro, the Hagi-o block, and Hagi-komachi chikuwa, sold as singles and in gift sets.
