What Parajumpers is known for
Italian outerwear house founded in 2006 by designer Massimo Rossetti with Ape and Partners, inspired by Alaska's 210th Rescue Squadron; known for down-filled Masterpiece parkas with a yellow parachute-hook collar strap and the squadron's 'That Others May Live' motto on every garment.
Parajumpers was founded in 2006 through a partnership between the Italian company Ape and Partners and designer Massimo Rossetti, who had spent years designing outerwear and importing American brands into the Italian market. The brand's origin story centers on a real encounter: Rossetti met a member of the 210th Rescue Squadron, the U.S. Air National Guard unit based in Anchorage, Alaska, tasked with combat search-and-rescue in extreme cold. That meeting led him to design the first Masterpiece jacket, built to the technical demands of Arctic pararescue work but finished for civilian wear. Every Parajumpers garment still carries a reference to the squadron's motto, 'That Others May Live,' on a logo patch, along with a signature yellow elastic collar strap modeled on a parachute-rigging hook. The line has expanded to men's, women's and children's collections, sold through the brand's own stores and a wide network of stockists.
