What Pesvebi Art Studio is known for
Georgia's only natural-dye workshop — Nino Bakhutashvili founded Pesvebi ('roots') in 2005 to resurrect Kizikian carpet weaving from museum archives after the craft vanished from living memory. Madder root for crimson, onion skins for brown, wool from Tush shepherds; carpets, bags and home textiles woven by local women at the edge of Vashlovani's semi-desert.
