Premiata was founded in 1885 by Luigi Mazza in Montegranaro, a town in Italy's Marche region long known as a center of Italian shoe manufacturing. The Mazza family has run the business across generations: in the 1960s Vincenzo Mazza created a line called 'Endless,' and in 1981 his son Graziano Mazza took over and industrialized production. The Premiata brand itself launched in 1991, introducing innovations such as rubber-soled comfort construction, and has since developed into a contemporary luxury sneaker house known for named collections. Premiata is now run by the fourth generation of the Mazza family.
