PT - marketed as PT01 or Pantaloni Torino - is a trouser-focused label from Turin, built on top of COVER50, a family-owned fabric and trouser manufacturer founded by Pierangelo Fassino in 1968 that once produced up to 80,000 pairs of trousers a year for other labels before developing its own line. PT01 launched in 2006, credited largely to Pierangelo's son Edoardo Fassino, with the goal of applying that manufacturing know-how to a trouser-only brand. The name spells out the concept directly: PT from pantaloni (Italian for trousers) and Torino, its home city. The brand passed the milestone of its one-millionth trouser sold in March 2013.
