What Samson is known for

Paris bespoke tailoring since 1999 — made-to-measure suits and shirts using Italian fabrics and European production.

Samson was established in 1999 by husband-and-wife team Sophie Samson and Stephen Ricard, opening their first boutique on rue de l'Arcade in the 8th arrondissement and establishing themselves as leaders in French made-to-measure menswear. The house maintains two flagship locations: Saint-Germain at 15 Rue de Tournon (open Tuesday–Saturday 11:00–19:30 by appointment) and Madeleine at 8 Rue Chauveau-Lagarde (same hours). Samson combines precise cutting, premium European fabrics, and personalized service while maintaining 100 percent European production—a deliberate commitment to regional craftsmanship and quality control. The tailoring house offers over 450 fabric selections for custom-made suits, trousers, blazers, jackets, vests, shirts, and coats, sourcing materials from established mills including Italian wool suppliers and carefully selected English cotton and linen vendors. By controlling design and manufacturing at every step, Samson delivers an incomparable quality-to-price ratio within the appointment-based bespoke sector.
