Scandinavian Edition is a men's outerwear brand out of Oslo, founded in 2010 with the explicit goal of building an alternative to the traditional wool coat - using technical, weatherproof construction rather than wool as the shell material. Its jackets rely on breathable waterproof membranes and sealed, taped seams for protection against rain and wind, paired with a deliberately restrained, minimalist design language: clean city-coat and parka shapes, subtle pocketing, and tone-on-tone hardware rather than visible branding. The brand's account of its own origin describes a small first run of about 100 jackets made for friends and family to test the concept, with strong enough response to grow the label into international distribution, now shipping to markets from Taiwan to New York and sold through retailers including Boozt.
