What Soi is known for
Paris womenswear label founded April 2016 by sisters Aurélie and Julia (the name plays on the French toi/moi/soi -- you, me, self), built around silk prints and a B Corp-certified, ethically sourced supply chain.
Soi Paris was founded in April 2016 by two sisters: Julia, trained at the Penninghen art school, who serves as creative director designing prints and collections, and Aurélie, an HEC graduate with prior experience in strategy consulting and luxury marketing at Guerlain and L'Oréal, who runs the business side. The brand's name plays on the French homophones toi ('you'), moi ('me') and soi ('self'). Silk emerged early as the label's core medium, chosen specifically because the fabric's delicacy lets bold, colorful prints 'vibrate' in a way other materials don't -- shirts, patterned blouses, wrap dresses and party dresses built around this material anchor the collections, alongside pieces in organic cotton and recycled silk. From the outset the company committed to sourcing exclusively from audited, certified mills for its natural fabrics, and Soi Paris holds B Corp certification covering its social and environmental practices.
