Taylor's, formally Taylor, Fladgate & Yeatman, has shipped Port from the Douro Valley since 1692, making it one of the oldest surviving houses in the trade. Its cellars and shop sit at Rua do Choupelo 250 in Vila Nova de Gaia, across the river from central Porto - the traditional home of the Port lodges where wine was historically aged after arriving downriver from the Douro. Visitors follow a self-guided tour, using a QR code for an audio guide through the museum and cellars, that ends in a tasting of three wines: the Chip Dry extra-dry white Port, a Late Bottled Vintage and a 10-Year-Old Tawny. The shop sells Taylor's full range, including vintage and LBV Ports and wine-club exclusives, alongside the tasting experience.
