Thought Clothing

Thought Clothing traces its origins to Australia in 1995, when it launched under the name Braintree Clothing making simple shirts and beachwear from natural fibers such as hemp and ramie. The brand moved into the London market in 2002, running pop-up stores at Portobello Road and Camden Lock markets, before renaming itself Thought Clothing in 2017 to reflect an evolving sustainability-first identity. Its current collections use organic cotton, bamboo, rayon, Tencel, responsibly sourced wool and recycled polyester. The brand states it has worked with some of the same manufacturing factories since its earliest years and requires each factory to sign a code of conduct covering working conditions. Thought Clothing now operates primarily as a UK-based online and wholesale label.
