What Tiroler Heimatwerk is known for
Tiroler Heimatwerk began in 1934 as a cooperative of 82 knitters and 38 craftspeople, and still trades from Meranerstrasse in Innsbruck as one of the few places where hand-knitted socks, dirndls and Tracht are made rather than imported. The shop commissions work directly from Tyrolean makers rather than a factory line, keeping regional textile skills in use.
