What Tiziana Fausti is known for
Bergamo luxury multibrand founded by Tiziana Fausti, who opened her first 16-square-metre shoe and bag shop in 1979. Now a 1,200-square-metre store with a Dior shop-in-shop plus Saint Laurent, Balenciaga, Gucci and Alaia concessions, and a rooftop restaurant added in 2019.
Tiziana Fausti's business began inside her parents' leather goods shop on Bergamo's Via Sant'Alessandro, which operated from 1946 to 1981. In 1979, while still working alongside her parents, she opened her own 16-square-metre shop selling designer shoes and bags, with Prada's fabric bags among her first successes. A larger womenswear boutique in Piazza Dante, designed by architect Roberto Baciocchi, followed in 1986. Over four decades the business grew into a 1,200-square-metre luxury store spanning 22 shop windows in central Bergamo, now carrying menswear, kidswear and accessories alongside a 100-square-metre Dior shop-in-shop and concessions for Saint Laurent, Balenciaga, Gucci, Alaia, Chloe and Celine. To mark 40 years in business in 2019, Fausti added Terrazza Fausti, a restaurant and lounge bar with a 600-square-metre terrace overlooking the historic center.
