Tréca Paris was founded in 1935 in Reichshoffen, Alsace by Victor Moritz. The brand name derives from Trefilerie-Câblerie, French for wiring and cabling, reflecting its origins in spring-manufacturing expertise. Tréca represents the art of savoir-dormir a la francaise (French sleep expertise), combining unique know-how, innovative technologies, and exquisite natural materials. All mattresses are entirely handmade by craftsmen in the brand's Alsatian workshops in Reichshoffen, guaranteeing impeccable quality and made-to-measure customization. The Couture collection features refined finishes, traditionally hand-quilted and upholstered using 100% all-natural noble materials with generous padding and cotton-pocketed springs. The Impérial collection offers handmade upholstery and finishing by French artisans. Additional ranges include Paris, Impérial Prestige, and Platinum mattresses, each emphasizing tailor-made production and bespoke customization. In 2019, Tréca opened a flagship showroom at Quai de la Tournelle in Paris.
