MIDA undici was founded in 1952 by Danilo Michelacci in Calenzano, near Florence, and still operates from the same historic building where it began, at Via del Castello 11 -- the brand's name is a direct reference to that address ("undici" is Italian for eleven). The label built its reputation on durability, precision and Italian garment craftsmanship. Danilo's son, Francesco Michelacci, took over a second generation and specialized the house further into small-batch garment dyeing and subtle fabric finishing, developing the softened, worn-in aesthetic that now defines the brand. Current production centers on t-shirts in natural fibers -- cotton and merino wool -- across a range of finishes and fits, exhibited at Pitti Uomo alongside the wider field of Italian menswear labels.
