Victor Weinsanto - born Victor Brunstein in 1993 in Souffelweyersheim, Alsace - trained in classical dance from age four before studying at the Atelier Chardon Savard and interning at Chloe and Jean Paul Gaultier. He founded his own label, Weinsanto, in 2020, taking the name from his maternal grandmother rather than his own surname. The brand is built around an explicit reinterpretation of Alsatian regional culture: pieces made from kelsch (a traditional Alsatian checked linen), oversized versions of the region's ceremonial headdresses, and bags shaped like the Kougelhopf cake. Weinsanto's coiffes and accessories have appeared on Paris Fashion Week runways and were seen at the opening ceremony of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.
