Avnier was launched in 2014 by French rapper OrelSan together with designer Sebastien Strappazzon, a former semi-professional BMX rider who had become OrelSan's stylist. The label started as a streetwear line, but around 2020 it pivoted deliberately toward 'Audio Visual Work Wear,' designing jackets, shirts, cargo pants and accessories specifically for people who work on film and music sets. The current catalog includes a 'PRO' line developed with input from working audiovisual professionals, alongside footwear and collaborations including a 2025 capsule with Saint James.
