Château de Laubade is an 80-hectare Armagnac estate founded in 1870 in Sorbets, Gers (Bas-Armagnac region). The property has been owned by the Lesgourgues family for three generations, with Denis Lesgourgues leading the operation alongside his siblings Jeanne and Arnaud. The estate's prestigious past includes ownership by Joseph Noulels, a significant French statesman, and his wife Jeanne Paquin, a noted Paris fashion designer. Château de Laubade holds remarkable credentials as the most awarded Armagnac house with 250 titles across major international competitions. The house received the 2015 Entreprise du Patrimoine Vivant (Living Heritage Business) designation and maintains ISO 9001 certification since 2008. Their 2020 Spirit of the Year award from La Revue des Vins de France underscores their standing across 50+ countries and prestigious establishments worldwide. Production emphasizes artisanal methods including single cépage distillation in a custom 1974 still and careful aging in Gascon oak.
