Artist-run craft cooperative founded in 1973 (incorporated 1974), representing more than 130 British Columbia makers. Based at the Net Loft on Granville Island, Vancouver, since 1984; runs galleries and an annual Christmas craft market.
Circle Craft was founded in 1973, originating in Victoria, British Columbia, and was formally incorporated as a cooperative in 1974. The co-op relocated its base to Vancouver by 1977 before finding its long-term home on Granville Island in 1984, where it has operated ever since from the Net Loft building. As an artist cooperative, Circle Craft supports more than 130 member craftspeople from across British Columbia. The Granville Island shop carries contemporary and traditional craft work in clay, glass, fibre, wood, metal and mixed media, and its gallery space hosts monthly exhibitions.
