Tentree

Tentree was founded in 2012 by brothers Kalen and Derrick Emsley, initially based in Regina, Saskatchewan, before relocating to Vancouver, British Columbia. The company defines itself not as an apparel business that plants trees but rather as a tree-planting company that happens to sell apparel—a distinction that frames every design decision and partnership. For every product sold, Tentree plants 10 trees through partnered organizations operating in 15 countries including Madagascar, Indonesia, Haiti, Senegal, Nepal, Canada, USA, Cambodia, Kenya, Malawi, Mexico, Peru, and Brazil. The company has already planted 100 million trees and aims to reach 1 billion by 2030. Product lines include casual clothing and accessories for men, women, and children—shirts, dresses, sweatshirts, and hoodies featuring graphics celebrating the natural world. Materials prioritize sustainability: hemp, organic cotton, recycled polyester, and Tencel fiber are standard across collections.
