What Dominica Essential Oils & Spices Cooperative is known for
Formed in 1964 and now 564 members strong, this Roseau cooperative distils bay oil and bay rum from the West Indian bay tree at its plant in Petite Savanne. It produces more than 22,000 litres of bay oil a year, meeting much of the world's demand.
