Fioroni

Fioroni is an Italian luxury knitwear house based in Castiglione del Lago, on the shore of Lake Trasimeno in Umbria. It began in 1978 as a small artisanal workshop founded by Silvana Parrini, producing embroidery and handcrafted textiles with a single sewing machine and one craftswoman. Her husband, Palmiro Fiorini, later joined the business, and production gradually shifted toward knitwear; the company formally registered its own Fioroni brand in 2008. In 2015 the house was acquired by Cesare Attolini, the well-known Neapolitan bespoke tailoring family, bringing Fioroni into a larger luxury menswear group while it continued to operate its own workshop and label. Today around thirty craftspeople work at the Fioroni factory, combining computerized machinery with hand-finishing: collars, cuffs, sleeves and armholes are stitched, hemmed, buttonholed and buttoned by hand on many pieces. The house sources cashmere from Mongolia, China and Kashmir and is known in menswear retail circles (stocked by shops such as Guarino, Braun Hamburg, Gabucci and Sartale) for soft-finish sweaters and cardigans at the higher end of Italian knitwear.
