Halmanera

Halmanera was founded in 1979 by Giuseppe Petrelli, who had previously managed other footwear companies before starting his own family-run label in the Marche region of Italy, an area with a long shoemaking tradition. The Petrelli family stays closely involved in production, personally overseeing leather selection, cutting, assembly and finishing. The brand's design direction favors essential, minimalist shoes for women intended to break from conventional style codes. Now more than four decades old, the company continues under the guidance of Giuseppe's sons, Luca and Sauro Petrelli, who have kept the founding family's hands-on approach central to the business.
