What Humana Vintage is known for

Retail arm of Humana People to People Italia, running roughly a dozen secondhand shops across Italian cities; proceeds fund the charity's education, agriculture and health projects in Africa, Asia, Latin America and Italy itself.

Humana Vintage is the retail brand of Humana People to People Italia, the Italian affiliate of an international federation of secondhand-clothing charities operating across Europe, Africa, Asia and Latin America. It is not a single independent boutique but a chain: the organization runs roughly a dozen shops across Italian cities, including Rome, Milan and Florence, selling donated clothing and accessories spanning from the 1960s through recent seasons. Donated garments are sorted at a central selection facility outside Milan, where a team evaluates each piece for quality, age and brand before it is distributed to shops or exported for resale abroad, including into African markets - Humana controls this chain from donation bin to final sale rather than working through third-party sorters. Proceeds fund Humana People to People's development projects, which the organization describes as covering education, sustainable agriculture, community development and health programs in the Global South as well as in Italy. Its Florence branch, one of the newer additions to the network, opened in November 2022; a Rome location has operated on Via Cavour, near the city's Monti district.
