Left Field NYC

Left Field NYC was created by Christian McCann, who grew up in Philadelphia developing an interest in American vintage through flea markets and thrift stores before working briefly at Anthropologie and then moving to Brooklyn. He founded the brand there in 1998, building it initially as a design and production operation without a retail storefront. Fifteen years later, in 2013, McCann opened Left Field's first physical shop in an old sweater factory in Ridgewood, Queens. The label is known for raw selvedge denim and workwear made entirely in the United States: McCann keeps manufacturing domestic and sources fabric from mills in the US, Japan and Italy rather than importing finished goods. It is frequently cited in menswear and denim press as one of the earlier independent labels in the American-made denim revival that took hold in the 2000s and 2010s.
