What Lou Yetu is known for

Paris jewelry label launched in 2015 by Camille Riou from her rue de Poitou apartment; she opened a by-appointment boutique on the same street in 2016, known for customizable, layered gold-plated chain jewelry.

Camille Riou founded Lõu.Yétu in 2015, starting the business out of her own Paris apartment on the rue de Poitou. Jewelry had been part of her life since childhood — her grandmother, a passionate collector who liked to source pieces and have them mounted by artisans, passed the interest on early; family lore holds that Camille was already selling her own creations at a Breton market stall by age eight.

After working in marketing, Riou left that career to devote herself to jewelry full-time. She began informally, inviting friends into her apartment to see her pieces, then friends of friends, building the brand through word of mouth rather than conventional retail. In 2016, still on the rue de Poitou, she opened a boutique accessible by appointment, where she hosted monthly private shopping sessions by registration rather than keeping standard walk-in hours.

The label became known in the French costume-jewelry market for layered chain necklaces and customizable gold-plated pieces, building a following largely through social media and word-of-mouth referral rather than traditional advertising, growing from a single-apartment operation into a recognized Paris jewelry name.
