What Maison Lemoine is known for
Paris occasionwear label for bridesmaid dresses, evening dresses, jumpsuits, and elegant ceremonies.
Maison Lemoine is a Paris ready-to-wear house built around a single overlooked category: the bridesmaid dress. Its founder, Claire Lemoine, a graduate of Parsons School of Design in New York, conceived the label while searching for a dress for her own best friend's wedding and finding nothing on the French market that matched what American bridesmaid-dress brands were already doing, so she designed one herself, then a full line. The house has since expanded into bridal-adjacent occasionwear more broadly: evening dresses, jumpsuits and ceremony pieces alongside its core bridesmaid offering, sold both through its own e-shop and a Paris boutique. In interviews, Lemoine has described wanting the boutique experience itself to feel unpretentious and warm, welcoming clients into what she calls a small cocoon, "comme à la maison" -- like being at home -- rather than a formal showroom. The brand is also distributed in Brussels, with in-store pickup offered within three to five days of ordering online. Maison Lemoine's collections are conceived in a Parisian workshop, and the house positions itself as bringing an imported American concept, the dedicated bridesmaid dress, into French wedding culture for the first time.
