Marcia is a French fashion label founded in 2018 by Emma Reynaud, a former classical dancer who also worked as a runway model for Jean-Paul Gaultier before turning to design. The brand takes its name, and much of its spirit, from "Marcia Baïla," the 1985 hit by French duo Les Rita Mitsouko -- a reference to the song's boldness and rhythm rather than to any literal subject. Reynaud's collections lean into fitted silhouettes, body-skimming cuts and pronounced slits, aimed at eveningwear-adjacent pieces meant to be worn with confidence rather than concealment. One of the label's signature pieces, the "Tchiki Boum" dress, gained wider visibility after being worn on-screen by actress Camille Razat in the Netflix series "Emily in Paris." Sustainability is a stated part of Marcia's production approach: the brand uses ECONYL, a regenerated nylon made from recycled fishing nets, industrial plastic waste and fabric scraps, positioning its stretch pieces as a lower-impact alternative to virgin synthetic textiles. Marcia operates as a distance-selling business under French company registration, with no owned boutique of its own; its pieces are instead carried by multi-brand retailers, including Jogging in Marseille and BHV in Paris.
