The house was revived in 2003 under Caroline Illacqua, who had a family connection to Cabanel's daughter and drew on more than 150 original perfume formulas preserved from the founding era. Illacqua brought in perfumer Jean-Francois Latty, previously known for work on fragrances for Yves Saint Laurent and Givenchy, and together they launched Alahine in 2007 - a floral-oriental built around amber, widely reviewed by niche-perfume writers as one of the house's signature scents.
