What Tonet is known for
Italian luxury knitwear house TONET, run by the Tonet family since the 1960s and based in Miane, Treviso province, Veneto - not Bergamo - producing women's knitwear and tailored separates in linen, silk and ramie.
TONET is a family-run Italian luxury knitwear house whose roots trace to the 1960s in the hills around Valdobbiadene, in the Veneto region. The company, legally Carella Srl, is today based in Miane, in Treviso province, and is run by Claudio Teso, Lella Tonet, and their son Stefano; what began as subcontract knitwear production for other labels eventually grew into the TONET brand's own collections. TONET markets itself as 'maglieria di lusso,' producing women's knitwear, tailored trousers, skirts, dresses, and blazers from linen, silk, ramie, and other natural fibers, entirely made in Italy.
